EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy X Alexander I, (106-88 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Alexandria mint, struck year 17 = 98-97 B.C., (13.358 grams), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left LIZ, to right **PA*, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU**, (S.7941, Sv.1677, SNG Cop.366, Pitchfork 107, BMC 32). Edge flaws, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
