COMMONWEALTH, (1649-1660), Commonwealth Naval Medal, 1653 in silver (56x51mm) by Thomas Simon, a later specimen (44.99 grams), produced as an electrotype copy, probably in the nineteenth century cf(MIi,400/28; MH 1919, 36, Lessen (1997) 48-72; Eimer 185 but with no border; British Battles & Medals 13, first type). Extremely fine.
