ITALY, Venice, Zechino, Paul Rainer (1779-1789), gold ducat or zecchino, (3.48 gm), in the name of this Doge, obverse, Doge kneeling before St. Mark, reverse, Christ standing within stars, (KM.1434). Brilliant as struck, extremely fine.

Ex Tom May Collection and Spink & Son, London, with their ticket. Illustrated in the Australian Numismatist 2007 in a paper by Tom May 'Trade Gold - Some Key Coins of World Commerce in History', p59.
