CELTIC, Danube and Eastern Region and into the Transylvanian Plain (area of Roman Dacia), imitation of Philip II tetradrachm, (early 3rd century B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.07 grams), of type 'Kinnlos', obv. crude simplified head of Zeus to right, rev. horse with rider to right, (S.218, cf.de la Tour 9626, Gobl OTA pl.20, Nos 244/1, SKA 16, Dembski 1147, Sammlung Lanz 550). Toned, struck on a compact flan, very fine or better and rare.
