ITALY, Lucania, Herakleia, (432-420 B.C.), silver diobol, (1.04 grams), obv. head of young Herakles to right, wearing lion skin, rev. lion running right, E H above (E reversed), (S.386, SNG ANS 6, cf.SNG Cop. 1099, cf.HE 1358). Attractively toned, some light surface pitting, otherwise extremely fine and rare in this condition.
