SICILY, Akragas (Agrigentum), (c.500-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group IV, (7.80 gm), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AK behind, [R]A in front, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709A, cf.Jenkins (Gela) Pl.37,9, SNG Fitz. 898, SNG ANS 950 [similar dies]). Fine with surface roughness, a rare variety.
