MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.39 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued c. 342/1-329/8 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, Janus head below to right, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, cf.Le Rider Group IIB 308, [Pl.34, p.66 dies D150/R-], SNG ANS 510-520). Toned, nearly very fine and a scarce symbol.
