THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.81 grams), Byzantium mint, late style of that issued c.2nd-1st century B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, monogram of **PYR* left, trident below, to right **[B]ASILEWS* to left **LUSIMACOU*, (cf.S.6816, Thompson -, Muller 224). Bright, nearly very fine and scarce.
