PELOPONNESOS, Achaean League, Patrae, (c.175-168 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.45 grams), obv. laureate head of Zeus to right [**DI*] behind, rev. monogram of AX, letters **D*E I across, trident below, wreath around, (cf.S.2998, Clerk 189/6, BCD 503, McClean 6465, Agrinion Hoard 290 d&e). Lightly toned with attractive golden highlights, nearly extremely fine and a rare variety.
