PONTOS, Amisos, (3rd-2nd century B.C.) silver half siglos or hemidrachm (1.71 gm), uncertain magistrate, obv. head of Hera to right, wearing turreted crown, rev. owl standing facing, wings spread, on shield, **DH MH* across, TPIOY in exergue. (S.3635, SNG BM Black Sea 1118-9, BMC 16, 18); Thrace, Byzantion, silver tetrobol, (Rhodian standard), (387 - mid 4th century B.C.), (2.51 gm), obv. bull standing to left on dolphin, **PU*, above, rev. quadripartite incuse square of 'mill-sail' pattern, the surfaces granulated, (S.1582, SNG BMC Black Sea 36-41 [Pl.II]). Nearly extremely fine, first toned. (2)
