VESTA above, Vesta seated to left, veiled and draped seated on ornamental throne, holding patera and transverse sceptre, S C across field, (S.1803, RIC 38, C.27); Claudius, (A.D. 41-54), AE As, Rome mint, issued A.D. 42, (9.386 grams), obv. bare head to left of Claudius around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP P P, rev. LIBERTAS AVGVSTA, S C across field, Libertas standing right holding pileus, (S.1860, RIC 113, C.47); another (9.070 grams), obv. similar, rev. Minerva standing right with spear and shield, SC across, (S.1862, RIC 116, C.84). First with very fine portrait but rough edges. others nearly fine - fine, most with dark green patina. (3)
