EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), AE 44, obol, (94.75 grams), Alexandria mint, struck c.266-265 B.C., obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings standing on thunderbolt, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU,* dotted border, (S.7782, Sv.446, Weiser 19, SNG Cop. 142). Nearly very fine and very scarce.
