NORTH AFRICA, Kyrenaica, Kyrene, (c.308-277 B.C.), silver didrachm, (7.71 grams, Rhodian standard), obv. head of Karneios with horn, to left, rev. **KY* **PA* either side of silphium plant, **IPO* in upper field to left, serpent to right, (cf.S.6319, SNG Cop. 1239, BMC Cyrenaica pl.xxii 26B). Lightly toned with golden highlights, very fine or better and scarce.
