ANONYMOUS SERIES, (216-214 B.C.), silver drachm (half-quadrigatus), (3.17 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate head of Janus, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to left, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue [R]OMA, (S.35, Cr.29/4, Syd. 67, RSC 25). Toned, good very fine and a very rare denomination.
