P. FURIUS CRASSIPES, (c.84 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.39 grams), obv. turreted head of the City to right, AED CVR and deformed foot downwards behind, rev. P.FOVRIVS on curule chair, CRASSIPE[S] in exergue, (S.275, Cr.356/1c, Syd.735b, RSC Furia 19). Toned with attractive golden highlights, struck on a broad flan, nearly extremely fine.
