C. MARIUS C.F. Capito, (81 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.86 grams), obv. Ceres draped bust to right, hair bound in corn-wreath, CAPIT LXXVIIII around, rev. husbandman plowing to left, with yoke of oxen, LXXVIIII above, [C MA]RI C.F over [S C] in exergue, (S.300, Cr.378/1c, Syd.744b, B.Maria 9). Serrated edge, off centred on reverse, otherwise toned, very fine and rare.
