T. VETTIUS SABINUS, (c.70 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.86 grams), obv. bare head of king Tatius to right, TA below chin, S C before, SABINVS behind, rev. Magistrate in slow biga left, holding sceptre, IVDEX above, ear of corn behind, T.VETTIVS in exergue, (S.339, Cr.404/1, Syd.905, B. Vettia 2). Serrated edge, minor scrape on obverse, slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise deeply toned, very fine or better and rare.
