L. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.73 grams), obv. Ancus Marcius head to right, ANCVS and lituus below and to left, dotted border, rev. PHILIPPVS behind equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V A MAR, flower below horse, (S.382, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, RSC Marcia 28). Deeply toned, good very fine and scarce, with collector's ticket.
