LEPIDUS AND OCTAVIAN, (Spring - Summer 42 B.C.), silver denarius, Italian mint, (3.48 grams), obv. bare head of Lepidus to right, around LE[PIDV]S PONT MAX III V R.P.C., rev. bare head of Octavian to right, around CAESAR IMP III VIR R P C, (S.1523, Cr.495/2C, RSC 2, Syd.1323). Slightly uneven flan, otherwise toned, nearly very fine and rare.
