NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 67, (25.78 grams), obv. laureate head of Nero to left, around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P, rev. around [PAC]E P R TERRA MARIQ PARTA IANVM CLVSIT, temple of Janus with closed doors, S C across, (S.1974, RIC 584 [R2], WCN 481, BMC -). Apple green patina, weakness in places on reverse legend, otherwise nearly very fine, portrait good very fine and a very rare variety.
The only known other example of this type with same legends and left bust known to RIC and WCN is the example in the Budapest, Magyar Nemzeti Museum.
