CONSTANTINE II AS CAESAR, (A.D. 337-340), AE folles, issued 323-324, London mint, (3.45 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Constantine, around CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, rev. in wreath VOT X, around CAESARVM NOSTRORVM, in exergue PLON crescent, (cf.S.3943, RIC 292); another issued 333, Arles mint, (2.11 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, cuirassed, around CONSTANTI NVS IVN N C, rev. two soldiers each with spear and shields, two standards between them, horned bull's heads on banners, laurel wreath at top centre, around GLORIA EXERCITVS, in exergue SCONST, (cf.S.3951, RIC 371); another AE, Trier mint, (1.18 grams), rev. Constantine leaning on spear; another, Arles mint, (1.66 grams), rev. two soldiers holding spears and shields with one standard between them, O on banner, PCONST in exergue, (RIC VIII 1).
