BOIOTIA, Tanagra, silver stater, (early - mid 4th century B.C.), (12.05 grams), obv. Boiotian shield, rev. forepart of horse to right, laurel garland around its neck, T-A across field, below, grape bunch on vine, all within concave circle, (S.2450, BCD 264 [Triton IX, p.58], Traite III, 343 [Pl.CCIV, 6], SNG Cop.224). Some surface roughness, otherwise good very fine and rare.
