LYDIA, Philadelphia, Caligula, (A.D. 37-41), AE 16-17, (3.75 grams), Hermogenes Olympionikes magistrate, obv. bare head of Caligula to right, around **[G]AIOS [K]AISAR*, rev. around **FILAD[ELFEON ERMOG]ENHS OLYMPIO[NIKHS]*, laureate busts of the Dioscuri jugate right, palm branch to left, (BMC 53, RPC I 3023, Trillmich 14.13). Attractive dark brown patina, slight rubbing on the highpoints, rare.
