ANCIENT GREEK AND ROMAN, silver issues, Illyria, Epidamnos-Dyrrhachium, (400-350 century B.C.), drachm, obv. cow standing right looking back at calf, which it suckles, rev. double floral pattern within square, (cf.S.1899, Maier 256, BMC 81-83); Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), denarius, issued 71, obv. laureate head of Vespasian right, rev. Pax seated left holding olive-branch and caduceus, (S.2313, RIC 39); Marcus Aurelius, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, issued A.D. 167, head of Marcus Aurelius to right, rev. Providentia standing to left, holding sceptre and wand over globe, (cf.S.4935, RIC 170); others including Caracalla and Septimius Severus, (5). Poor - fine, some chipped. (8)
