C. VIBIUS C.F.C.N. Pansa Caetronianus, (48 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.75 grams), obv. Mask of Pan, pedum behind PANS[A] below, rev. Jupiter Anxurus seated to left, [C.V]IBIVS C.F.C.[N]. behind and IOVIS AX[V]R before, (S.420, Cr.449/1b, Syd.948, B.Vibia 19). Bright, very fine - good very fine with a strong portrait of Pan and very scarce.
The representation of the youthful Jupiter Anxurus suggests that the Vibia gens originally dwelt at Anxur (Tarracina). There was a temple dedicated to the young Jupiter in that town.
