COMMODUS, as Caesar, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 175-6, (2.966 grams), obv. bare head and bust of Commodus to right, around COMMODOT CAES AVG FIL GERM SARM, rev. around PRINC IVVENT, Commodus standing left beside trophy, holding branch and spear, (S.5547, RIC 617, RSC 609b, BMC 649). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine/good very fine and very scarce.
