GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianii, Rome mint, issued 243, obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. PM TR P V COS II P P, around, Gordian walking to right with spear and globe, (S.2454, RIC 93, RSC 266) (4), another similar obverse issued and same reverse legend, with Apollo seated to left holding branch, (cf.S.2455, RIC 89, RSC 261) (4); another similar obverse, rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTI, Victory running to right (cf.S.2464, RIC 218, RSC 375). Several with minor green surface oxidation needing cleaning, otherwise nearly very fine - very fine. (10)
