MAMLUK, Coinage of Egypt, al Nasir Nasir abu al-Sa`adat al din Faraj, first reign, (A.H. 801-808) (A.D. 1399-1405), gold heavy dinar, (9.32 grams), Al Qahira mint (Cairo, Egypt), A.H. 807 = A.D. 1404-1405, obv. & rev. six lines of legend with various symbols in the field, (A.977, Balog 619). Flat for portion of the coin, slightly crinkled, otherwise good fine and very rare for this date.
