PORT PHILLIP KANGAROO OFFICE, restrike in gilt bronze (29mm, 10.88g), plain edge, obv. die rusted, around 'PORT PHILLIP AUSTRALIA, 1853', kangaroo to right, rev. die rusted, 'PURE AUSTRALIAN GOLD, ONE OUNCE'. Extremely fine, struck from original dies by Stokes circa 1917, extremely rare.
