SUTHERLAND, Allan., Numismatic History of New Zealand, Wellington, 1941. autographed copy no 6 of 150. xii x 310pp. bright navy blue cloth; together with additional part III, Tokens of New Zealand, 51p, soft covers; together with letter 21.11.66 from Allan Sutherland to A.T.Pycroft re tokens, with interesting comment that his father is 98 reasonably well and Mr.Pycroft at this time was aged 92; lot also includes several news paper clippings including two from 1938 and 1964 on 1780 Maria Thersa talers. Light foxing on end papers for bound volume, otherwise fine and rare.
Ex A.T.Pycroft Collection who was in 1942-1947 on the Council of the Royal Society of New Zealand (Auckland Institute).
