Plain edge, obverse, young portrait of Queen, after W.Wyon, dated 1840, VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIARUM REG; F:D: 1840, around, reverse, ornate Crown within wreath and SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES; Struck in eight different metals: Proof sterling silver, silver-coated piedfort, gold-coated piedfort, golden alloy, aluminium, piedfort copper, nickel silver and platinum coloured alloy. Uncirculated. (8)
Mintage of only 12 pieces struck for each metal and edge type.
