ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (c.350 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.50 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, **QOUR[IWN]*, **NUS* above, tunny fish below in exergue, with dotted exergual line, (cf.S.442, HN 1790, SNG ANS 1054). Slight hoard patination, nearly very fine and rare.
