SICILY, Akragas (Agrigentum), (c.510-490 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group III, (8.17 gm), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to right, A[KRA] behind eagle, [**AS*] before eagle, rev. crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, BMC 22 [same dies], SNG Cop.29 [Pl.1 similar dies], SNG ANS 933 [same dies]). Slightly off centred, of good silver with grey patina, fine/very fine and a very rare type.
