MACEDON, Kingdom of, Amyntas III, (389-383 and 381-369 B.C.), AE 16, issued Period II 381-369 B.C., (4.63 gm), obv. Herakles to right in lion skin, dotted border, rev. eagle devouring serpent, above AMYNTA, (S.1512, SNG Cop.517-8, SNG Greece 5, 323, BMC 17-22). Dark brown patina, very fine, scarce.
