ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE as, (13.18 gm), Rome mint, issued A.D. 140, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P, rev. winged caduceus between crossed cornucopiae, TR POT COS III around, S C across field, (S.4317, RIC 705a, C.924). Well centred and deeply toned, rubbed on the obverse, otherwise good fine, scarce.
