CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal in silver (43 mm) by L. Pingo for the Royal Society in 1784 (MH374; BHM258; Eimer 780). Rim nick at 8 o'clock on reverse, deep blue grey iridescent tone with underlying brilliance, good extremely fine.
