WORLD, small collection in folder of interesting covers and early postal history, including cover dated 2 Sep 1828 as a letter from London via Calais to Dieppe (France) marked cost of one shilling and two pence; another from London 9.8.1831 to Leghorn (Livorno) Italy; U.S.A., 3c Washington stamps fixed on envelopes dated 1859, 1860 and 1861; Flight cover Philippines to Guam Mar 6, 1939; Australia, Broken Hill to Brazil, fixed with 2x1/6 Hermes; Vienna to Bolivia 12 .2.1940 arrived 7 Mar 1940 fixed with Hindenburg 25, 50 and 100 Pf stamps and verso Nazi stamped as opened by Chief Command of armed forces of Germany; New Zealand, Christchurch Air Race, KLM flight 13 Oct 1953 to NZ and return to Argentina; another to USA, NZ - USA, JUly 1940 fixed with 2/- and 3/- stamps Cook; other air covers Hungary to NZ 1952, 1954; Canada to NZ 1949, other covers etc (18). Mostly fine, a few better. (33)
