GEORGE III, sterling silver tankard, London, (1770), maker's mark JS, of baluster form on circular foot, with applied mid-band and domed cover with scroll thumb-piece, E*L engraved on handle, (height 20cm, weight 765g), (unlisted maker, see Grimwade 3685). Evidence of minor solder repair to inside of lid, otherwise very fine and scarce.
