HONORIUS, (A.D. 393-423), gold solidus, Constantinople mint in A.D. 408-423, 3rd officina, (4.36 g), obv. helmeted bust to half right with elaborate dress, holding shield and spear over shoulder, around DN HONORI VS P F AVG, rev. Constantinopolis enthroned facing head right, holding sceptre and Victory, star in left field, around CONCORDI A AVGGG**G*, in exergue CONOB, (S.4242, RIC 201, Depeyrot 73/1). Scratches in fields both sides, otherwise good very fine and rare.
