MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 17, uncertain Macedonian mint, (5.83 g), probably issued posthumously c.336-315 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse, above **FILOPPOU*, below horse **L*, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 935). Attractive green toning, good very fine, well centred, scarce as such.
