(A.D. 286-305), silver argentius, Siscia mint, issued A.D. c.294-5 (3.45 g), obv. laureate head of Maximianus to right, around MAXIMIA NVS AVG, rev. around VIRTVS MILITVM, A in exergue, the four princes or tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before gate with eight turrents and open door, plain in exergue, (S.13098, RIC 32b, RSC 625f). Lightly toned, good extremely fine and rare.
