USA, FOR SERVICE FAITHFULLY RENDERED, Presented By The American Car And Foundry Company, 1917-1918, in sterling silver (63.5mm; 150g) by CB-JK, obverse, Liberty holding palm branch and flag advancing left with Statue of Liberty in background and sun rising behind, reverse, blacksmith preparing to smash a snake coiled around a German helmet on an anvil, guns, equipment and shells around. Good very fine.
This WWI tribute medal is normally found in bronze however the silver issue is not so common.
