WHIST MARKER, in rosewood, Japanese origin c1890 (89x48mm) made with the Shibayama technique, bone markers inlaid with mother-of-pearl, coral, jade and other semi-precious stones to form insects, the centre is decorated in the Hira-maki-e or Taka-maki-e method, the design in gold of a small plant with fruit and a tiny bird. Good very fine.
