GEORGE IV, apprentice indenture as apothecary for Claudius Francis Du Pasquier, 1829; Queen Victoria, appointment document as Surgeon - Apothecary to Her Majesty, in name of Claudius Francis Du Pasquier, 20th June 1862, signed by Viscount Sydney as the Lord Chamberlain. Very fine. (2)
Claudius Francis Du Pasquier was the son of Rogers Claudius Francis Du Pasquier, a native of Swizterland, naturalized in England 22 May 1812 and Senior Page to His Majesty. His father died at St James's Palace, 23 December 1822, aged 64. Son, Claudius held the following appointments in the Royal Household, Apothecary in Ordinary, Apothecary to the Prince Consort, Surgeon - Apothecary to Queen Victoria and later, Surgeon - Apothecary into the Household of the Prince of Wales. He died 20 August 1897.
