USA, 1922 GRANT MEMORIAL COMMEMORATIVE SILVER HALF DOLLAR, star in field. Brilliant, nearly uncirculated.

In a slab by NGC as MS62. Mintage was 5,006, the number melted 750 leaving a net distribution of 4,256. See note above. The Mint completed the first batch of 100,000 half dollars in February 1922. Much to the Centenary Commission's surprise, this contained 5,000 of the coins which had an incused star similar to that on the gold dollars.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
