USA, 1936 CINCINNATI MUSIC CENTRE, commemorative silver half dollar. Lightly toned, uncirculated.

In a slab by PCGS as MS65. Mintage was 5,005 for 1936 from all mints 15,016 were issued. The portrait represents Stephen Foster. Stephen Collins Foster is known as the 'father of American music'. His songs - such as 'Oh! Susanna', 'Swanee River', 'My Old Kentucky Home' and 'Beautiful Dreamer' have remained popular even after 150 years after their composition. On reverse, the female holding a lyre is supposed to personify Music.
