USA, 1946 IOWA CENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE SILVER HALF DOLLAR. Brilliant, uncirculated.
In a slab by Professional Coin Grading Service as MS66. Mintage was 100,057. Commemorates the 100th anniversary of Iowa's statehood. The reverse is Iowa State seal and the obverse the capital building at Iowa City. The issue was sold to Iowa residents and only a small remainder to others. 500 were held back for distribution in 1996 and another in 500 to be released in 2046.
