ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-300 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.39 g), obv. head of nymph to right, monogram XA monogram before, grapes bunch behind, **S*TA below, rev. man-headed bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right, below **P*, below exergue [NEOP]OLIT[WN], (cf.S.307, HN 789, Sambon 472, SNG ANS 362-4, SNG Cop. 428-9). Well centred, die break on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine.
