HERACLIUS, (610-641), silver hexagram or double miliarense, Constantinople mint, issued 615-638, (6.87 g), obv. seated crowned figures of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, cross between, legend around, rev. Cross potent on three steps, I to left, around DEUS ADIUTA ROMANIS, (S.796, DOC 62, BMC 99, T.213-4, R.1387). Die break on reverse, toned, otherwise nearly very fine and a scarce variety.
