George Bond Ford and his son Bert had set up Bond's Bus Tours at Clare in 1910. A year later, four new Fords were purchased and the business was very successful. It seems plans were made to establish Bond's Motor Car Company but apparently it was not successful, possibly due to the outbreak of WWI.
